Mobile Film School Announces Winners of Inaugural Bowl-A-Rama Sponsored by Confidence Bay

Mobile Film School would like to announce the winners of their inaugural Bowl-A-Rama sponsored by Confidence Bay

Austin, Texas, August 14, 2008 – On Saturday August 9th from 6:00pm to 11:00pm, the Mobile Film School hosted their first annual Bowl-A-Rama.

The Mobile Film School Bowl-A-Rama fundraiser was a great success. The main goal of the event was to raise money for the Mobile Film School organization to further reach underserved and at-risk youth in Central Texas.

The event was featured at Austin’s own Scholz’s Beirgarten and Saengerrude Hall Bowling Alley. Entertainment included exhibition bowler, 3 time Professional Bowlers Tour titlist, Robert Lawrence, Andrea Marie and The Magnolia Band, and jazz artist, Ephraim Owens. Teams consisted of local companies and organizations that competed in a bowling tournament, while general admission took advantage of Wii Bowling.

The competition was fierce between Strub Residential Real Estate, Digital Media Council, BottinoGrund Architects, Omega Broadcast, Spiderwood Studios, Confidence Bay, The McWilliams Family, and 2 MFS student alumni teams. After a fun night of intense bowling, it came down to a bowl-off between Spiderwood Studios and Digital Media Council. In the end, Spiderwood Studios took the trophy home. The competition did not end there as teams were already challenging each other for next year’s 2nd annual Bowl-A-Rama.

The Mobile Film School would like to send a special thanks to all the sponsors: Confidence Bay, Ciao-Chow Catering, FedEx Office, Omega Broadcast Group, Rocket Lab Creative, Scholz Garten, Texas Motion Picture Alliance, and Treaty Oak Platinum Rum.
