Mobile Film School Hosts First Student Pitch Session at Austin Film Festival

THE MOBILE FILM SCHOOL (MFS) HOSTS FIRST STUDENT PITCH SESSION AT THE AUSTIN FILM FESTIVAL, OCTOBER 12, 2007

Austin, Texas, October 2, 2007 – The Mobile Film School, a media arts education program based in Austin, will offer its first-ever STUDENT PITCH SESSION with the Austin Film Festival (AFF) on October 12, 2007 @ 1:45pm and 3:15pm.

Six Central Texas high school students where chosen from nearly 55 entries submitted by selected school media arts instructors.

“This is an opportunity for students to define their film projects, and communicate in ways that help them garner support, a key component in the industry,” said Lisa McWilliams, MFS Founder & Executive Director “And, this public exercise can be a learning experience for anyone in the audience, as well as the six brave students chosen to participate”.

The students will present their pitches to a panel of industry professionals, who will respond to the projects, then critique the pitches. The best student & pitch will be invited to compete with the adults in the AFF’s “Fifth Annual Pitch Competition” held Saturday, Oct 13, 2007.
